Hello to each and everyone around here.
I apologize in advance for this question which,I know,is pretty noobish.
We are a group of about ten friends who enjoy playing CoD 4 when life allows us some slack.
We don't have a server where we usually join,instead each of us,in turn,become the server for that day and plays "on the server" too
So I was wondering is it possible to use Frontlines within such an environment ?
I mean since we don't have a dedicated server for it,is it still possible to play ?
We have all downloaded and installed frontlines mod but when one of us wants to be the server,he can't select any of the "new" modifications from the pull down menu in CoD 4.
I am sure we are doing something very wrong here.
Any help would be VERY appreciated.

what you need is to run the mod from the start, or he will not load right the Frontlines menu with all the options... is not necessary a dedicated server to work...

copy/paste your shortcut to the MP game... rename to COD4 Frontlines or anything you want.

right click then choose properties, on the command line add this at the end

+set fs_game mods/Frontlines

is something like this:

C:\COD4\iw3mp.exe

then will be like this

C:\COD4\iw3mp.exe +set fs_game mods/Frontlines

then when you double click this shortcurt will start the game as Frontlines with all options available on the menu (all gametypes inclueded)...

all the other options are on config files that must be at mod/Frontlines like the install instructions says. what you change there, will change when you load your server from the menu screen.

then will work fine... I do that all the time at my LAN... have fun and enjoy!
