Springfield Scope Crosshairs

Medal of Honor Airborne Realism Mod

Springfield Scope Crosshairs

Postby eddie_brunette on Fri Nov 14, 2008 5:59 am

Hi and first of all thank you, for this fantastic mod! I've been fan of MOH since the very first release.

I'm also a massive fan of realism and when I read some of the reviews of MOHA I was a bit skeptic. Needles to say when I was browsing for info on MOHA I came across your mod. I'm probably one of the few that downloaded your mod(yesterday) first before buying the game!! While it was downloading I ran across the street, straight to CD/DVD shop and bought the game.

I've installed every thing and it works a charm. Your realism is so much better (did play for about an hour without your mod and I immediately realize the reason for the negative reviews)

I only have one problem though and it is probably me that did something wrong during the installation. When im using the Springfield and go to "ironsites", there is no scope or crosshairs(as if im looking trough binoculars) Did I do something wrong?

I'm all for realism and the pesky crosshairs in normal mode is "cheating" according to me, but when you use a telescope there is crosshairs. I absulotly love using the normal sites on the other weapons tough.

Once again thank you very much for this wonderful mod

Hello Eddie,

first thanks for the kind words... I'm glad you liked my mod!

about your problem, it's a known issue of MOHA, I don't know why they did the scope as a HUD element, instead of something else...

so if you turn off the HUD, you will also turn off the scope...

just press F1 to toggle ON/OFF the HUD when you want during the game.

you can turn off just the compass, follow this topic to know more:

Enjoy!

Thank you for reply.

I actually tought it was the problem, but thanks for help. You think if I use some of the "site crosshair mods" it will still be affected by the HUD?

I actually tought so. Oh well, I will just carry on the way I'm playing at the moment. I've made a little dot on my screen for when I use the scope. It is much better than HUD(I really dont like HUD on all my sim's etc IL2, LFS and on most other games I play)

Thanksalot for help and wonderful mod. After about 8hours of pay I only up to the 4th checkpiont! FANTASTIC!!! :)
