First of all: Wonderful ’09 to all the forum members!
Since I got hold of the HAJAS Extreme Realism mod for MOHA, I wanted more of my games to be more realistic. I would really love to do modding myself, but have no idea where to start. I’m willing to learn, and I really want to. I’m a graphic designer and had my first pc in 1988, so I’m quite up to date on pc’s.
My idea:
I’m one of the few people that really liked the NFS Pro-Street Series, because of its realism, handling of cars, and the damage modeling.
I bought the newly released NFS Undercover, and once again EA went back to the old format of their NFS games (Street Racing/Cop Chases).
My forte is simulators (Plane and cars) and one thing I don’t get is why is all flight sims realistic, but rarely cars sims. I do have a lot of racing sims, and some are truly realistic, BUT it is motor RACING, and the NFS series is more of a DRIVING experience.
The big problem is…. All the NFS titles (accept Pro-Street) the cars can drive at unimaginable speeds into walls/bustops/cars etc and will just carry on and I hate hate and once more hate it. There are certain challenges in Undercover tough (Highway Battle and when you steal cars) that damage/totalled can occur on your vehicle but I want it all the time!!!!
Now…
1. Is it possible to have the damage during all the races/challenges
2. Is it possible to use Pro-Street damage modeling in Undercover since both titles where developed by EA and Blackbox?
3. I’m not really worry about the look of it(dents/scratches), but I DO want my car to break when I smash at 200mph into another car/wall
Any help regarding this would be highly appreciated
